Chuck Markel

Head Coach: DASC Raiders

Coach Chuck Markel has played and coached soccer for over 30 years. He currently serves as head coach for Dillsburg FC Raiders, aiming to teach skills to young athletes in a fun and rewarding environment. In the fall of 2021, Coach Chuck entered the first Rec soccer team at our annual Dillsburg Dual Shootout Tournament. In the winter of 2023, Chuck created and coached his New indoor Soccer Team, The FC Steamers. 

Coaching highlights

• Placed 3rd in U10 Boys Division 5 Spring 2023

• Placed 2nd in the division and third overall in 2022 S. Hanover YMCA Indoor Soccer League

• US Soccer Licensed Grass Roots 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11

• Founded the DASC Raiders Team, a team that I coached in Rec and then transitioned them to Travel soccer.

Coaching Achievements

• Players I have worked with through the years are now coaching their teams and playing at the collegiate level.

• Captured 4th place in our division in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout Soccer Tournament 2023

• Captured 5th place in our division in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout Soccer Tournament 20222

Player highlights

• 17 years as a goalkeeper, fullback, and midfielder

• Captured championship as head coach/player in the Penn State Altoona Campus Intramural League

• Game-winning assist in beating the undefeated and state-ranked Berlin, PA boys U19.
