Simon Skudder
Coach Simon Skudder's love of soccer began at age 8 while kicking a stone around the playground with friends. Since then, his life has revolved around sports. He played as a Youth professional with Margate FC. He was on the founding team of Trinity Football Club in Broadstairs, England, now a renowned English Football Association Charter Standard Club.
In 2009, Simon was hired by the coaching company UK Soccer. His first season coaching in the U.S. included coaching with Dillsburg Area Soccer Club. He then worked in various management roles with UK Soccer, earning licenses from the English Football Association, US Soccer, and United Soccer Coaches. Simon also served as team trainer and head coach for multiple teams in Pennsylvania. He has also volunteered with the York College women's soccer program, Northern HS boys & CPYSL.
When I coach I use a Socratic method to help develop players with a high soccer IQ. Throughout my playing career, I was defensively minded but I like my teams to take risks going forward and play an exciting brand of soccer.
