Brendon Clark
Coach Brendon Clark started playing soccer at the U8 level and found it has served an important role throughout his life.
Brendon is currently an educator in the Northern York County School District with more than 20 years of teaching experience. His role as a teacher and parent informs his approach to coaching and managing soccer teams.
In 2012, Brendon started with DASC as a head coach for a U6 team but has since spent time working with all age groups and skill levels. He also served as a coaching coordinator in DASC’s Polar Cub Academy and wrote and implemented the program’s soccer curriculum. Today, Brendon works as head coach for the Dillsburg Eclipse and an assistant coach for the Dillsburg Fury.
Brendon focuses on the following seven objectives to drive his teams:
Utilize a Dutch style of coaching to instruct young players to build technical and tactical knowledge and skills.
Inspire a passion and a soccer culture similar to young players abroad.
Train players to find parallels between soccer and the real world to teach life lessons that are personally instructive and meaningful.
Create life-long players who exhibit rigorous sportsmanship and can compete at the highest levels.
Find fun in all aspects of year-round training and competition.
Secure significant financial resources so all players have access to affordable and dynamic training opportunities, tournaments and team equipment.
Build a team whose friendships and relationships will be personally significant for life.
